Sunday 10 Sept 2017 - Sport event: Soccer (a.k.a. football)
Following a decade-old MICCAI tradition, there will be the opportunity to compete in a soccer match. What location would be more suitable than the Plains of Abraham, the site of many clashes for supremacy between the French and British Empires?
If you are more interested in a recreational activity, join us on the Plains nonetheless to enjoy the Canadian fall and throw frisbees around.

Monday 11 - Wednesday 13 Sept 2017 - Morning runs
Beat jet lag, start your metabolism, and fight sedentarism: join the MICCAI runs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Similar to previous years in Athens, Munich and Boston, the total length of each run will be between 5 and 8 kilometres and we’ll take the pace of the slowest runner, so do come along whatever your pace! Participants must be in good physical health and be fit to participate. Kindly remember that early morning temperatures are likely to be in the low 10C's (~55˚F)

Monday 11 Sept 2017 - Academia/Industry event
The Academia & Industry event aims to allow students to answer their most pressing questions and to interact directly with professionals from academia and industry. We will first have a panel with top academics and industry representatives. Next, we will have a networking session where students can talk one-on-one with the panelists and additional professors and company representatives, including the companies sponsoring MICCAI. This is a great opportunity to learn more about different career paths and create connections! Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Wednesday 13 Sept 2017 - Old Quebec City Walking tour
After dinner, join us for a leisurely walking tour of the Old City with a licensed Quebec City guide. Learn about the architecture, culture, and history of the only walled city north of Mexico. Highlights include the Parliament Building, St. Louis Street, Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Dufferin Terrace, and the Château Frontenac. After our tour, you will understand why Quebec City is considered by the United Nations to be a World Heritage City.

Friday 15 Sept 2017 - Discover Quebec
Travel back in time to rural Quebec and enjoy the view! As you ride along the 40 kilometers of Chemin du Roy to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, you will pass through the many traditional villages of rural Québec. In Sainte-Anne de Beaupré, you will be given time to visit the world famous Shrine. Take your shuttle to the magnificent Montmorency Falls, a unique Site in Québec (1 1/2 times higher than Niagara Falls!). A park and an exceptional waterfall of 83 m near the city center, with cable lift, quality restaurant and a hiking trail with a stairway of 487 steps on the perimeter of the falls.
Just as you think your day is over, you will be treated to a visit to Mont Sainte Anne. Safely seated in a panoramic gondola, be transported to the 800 meters (2625 feet) high summit where mountain top scenic path offers breathtaking views over the region, along with a look-out tower. Enjoy unique panoramic sceneries. Make your way to one of our hiking trails for an easy walk through nature.
